Challenge
Kōyō's existing identity felt dated and inconsistent across touchpoints — the logo, packaging, and digital presence all told slightly different stories. The brand needed a cohesive visual language that could flex across print, digital, and video without losing its handmade, artisanal feel.
Solution
I developed a refined visual identity built around a custom wordmark, a warm and restrained color palette, and a flexible grid system that could adapt across formats. To bring the brand to life in motion, I created a set of short-form animations and social content that translated the brand's tactile quality into movement — soft transitions, organic pacing, and subtle texture. The result was a unified identity that felt consistent from packaging to Instagram, while still honoring the brand's craft-first roots.
